many choices, but on a budget, you will need to shop smarter.

Smart shopping includes many things that can save money and
time. Take a look at ways you can shop smarter for those luxury

Make a list!

Making a list is the very first rule in being a smart shopper.
When you have a list, you know who you are shopping for, what
your budget is for that person, and preferably have two or three
items to choose from per person. This list will be must easier
to check when you see that perfect antique clock. Does someone
you know need that antique clock? Who? What was their budget?
Does that antique clock fit within that budget?

When you have a plan of action, you will be a smart shopper. In
addition, many storefronts will be targeting impulse shoppers.
Impulse shoppers are not smart shoppers! Do not allow yourself

Set a time!

When you are heading out the door, know where you are going,
and how long you will be gone. If you know exactly where you are
going and how long you will be gone, it will be easier to stick
to your time allotment. Because you are a smart shopper, you
know that if you are gone too long, you have probably spent too
much money.

A good time to shop is early in the morning. It is cooler, and
the crowds are not so large. Choose a time during the week when
people will be busy at work if you can. If you do not feel
rushed, you will take more time thinking about that priceless
artwork you just found. If you are afraid someone else is going
to snatch that priceless painting, chances are you are going to
purchase without thinking of the consequences.

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes!

Now this may seem silly when it comes to getting affordable
luxury Christmas gifts, but wearing comfortable clothes and
shoes is beneficial. You will look great and feel better, but
the true beauty comes in when you stay that way throughout the
shopping day. Smart shoppers know that when you feel
comfortable, you concentrate on the shopping and not your tired,
achy feet.

Wearing comfortable shoes and clothes means wearing shoes that
you know how they fit your feet. Trying out those new shoes on
your shopping trip is generally not a good way to break in the
shoes. You will save money because you will not make purchases
without thinking.

Being a smart shopper means you know how to do that shopping
right the first time. There are no dissatisfied gift recipients,
and you are going to save considerable money on those luxury
Christmas gifts you want for those close to you.
